Product Description
Engineered for both studio and client care use, the OG Tattoo Ointment delivers a trusted combination of ink-locking lubrication and post-ink healing support. Crafted with high‑quality mineral grease, beeswax, and menthol, it assists in maintaining moisture and reducing inflammation while sealing in pigment for sharper results.
During the tattoo session, the ointment facilitates smoother needle glide and cleaner ink flow. Afterward, as a healing agent, it forms a semi-occlusive barrier, keeping the area hydrated and protected from bacteria and friction. The addition of menthol brings refreshing sensation while easing discomfort during early healing.
How it works
During Tattooing: Apply a thin film to the skin to improve needle glide and reduce irritation.
After Tattoo Session: Once the bandage is removed, cleanse the area gently.
Apply Sparingly: Use a very thin layer of ointment—just enough sheen to hydrate. Blot away excess to prevent occlusion.
Reapply as Needed: Twice daily applications are sufficient during early healing.
Transition Off Gradually: After a few days, switch to a lighter lotion or balm as directed by your artist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do you put Vaseline when tattooing?
Vaseline acts as a protective barrier during tattooing. It helps reduce friction, prevents blood and ink from sticking to the needle or machine, and keeps the skin moisturized for smoother needle movement. Now Tattoo Ointment is another subsititude product for many professional tattoo artists and studio use.
Why choose ointment over Vaseline?
Unlike regular Vaseline, tattoo-specific ointments are designed to nourish the skin and speed up healing. They often contain added ingredients like Vitamin E, shea butter, or antibacterial agents — making them more suitable for both during and aftercare use.
Does ointment fade tattoo ink?
No, a high-quality tattoo ointment won’t fade ink. In fact, it can help preserve color vibrancy by keeping the skin hydrated and protected during healing. Avoid over-applying or using petroleum-heavy products not made for tattoos, as these could potentially clog pores or cause irritation.
